Learning to swim and overcoming fear of the water is an important step in responsible parenting, as well as character development for kids. Replacing fear with confidence in children is our greatest contribution. We accomplish this in a safe, and fun approach to swim lessons.
We do not believe in group swim lessons. Some kids are afraid of the water. Some kids are fearless. We take an individualized approach with each of our students, catering to their strengths and needs. When the students have scattered ability, group lessons are minimally effective.
If there are four kids in a class and the class is a half hour long, that means each kid receives 7 and a half minutes of focused attention from the instructor. They're sitting most of the time. More often than not, the other kids are a distraction during that limited time with the instructor..
And it can be dangerous. It only takes a moment of an instructor's turned back while working with another student, for a kid to topple off the stairs.
You can pay half our rate for a group lesson with an inexperienced instructor. But the results won't be the same. We take great pride in our experience and ability to earn trust and rapport with our students.
Missed and canceled classes will be billed. Please notify Holly of absences at info@seamonkeysswimming.com
We come from a long line of accomplished watermen, waterwomen, waterpersons and sea dogs sharing our love of swimming and water based activity. Read more in our ABOUT section.
